About Us

The Farmington Asylum Business District serves the interests of the establishments that do business or serve businesses in Asylum Hill and the West End of Hartford, from Union Place to the West Hartford town line.

Its activities include networking events, email newsletter, member marketing assistance, contacts with city and state officials regarding business issues, and support of various community efforts. 

FABD is funded by membership dues. A large, diverse membership is important to impact decision-making and to continue successful pursuit of FABD’s mission.

Streetscape Project

As a member of the Farmington Avenue Alliance, FABD is working toward implementation of major streetscape improvements on Farmington Avenue. More information on the plan can be found at the FAA web site.
